Lindy Urban is a rising singer-songwriter whose soulful voice and captivating performances reflect a lifelong passion for music. She began her journey with the ukulele at age nine, soon picking up the guitar at twelve, and has been crafting her sound ever since.

In 2023, Lindy won the Shoals Songwriter Search, a milestone that propelled her into the spotlight. She has since opened for Quantaphonics at Mars Music Hall and performed alongside acclaimed artists including hit songwriter Mark Narmore, Grammy Award winner Gary Nichols, and Trey Nichols at the Frank Brown Songs & Stories at OWA Theater.

Her debut single, Ain’t Bound Now, was released in November 2024. The release party, held at the Alabama Music Hall of Fame, drew an over-capacity crowd of more than 100 people as Lindy took the stage with a full band to celebrate her first major release.

Guided by the legendary Spooner Oldham—who played on two of her released tracks—Lindy has honed her artistry with mentorship rooted in musical history. Her influences span the soulful power of Aretha Franklin, the fiery guitar of Stevie Ray Vaughan, the lyricism of Stephen Stills, and the raw energy of Led Zeppelin.

With a style that blends soul, blues, and rock, Lindy Urban is carving out her own place in today’s music scene while honoring the timeless sounds that inspire her.

I specialize in creating music that blends elements of folk, blues and rock and roll. My music is inspired by legends such as Stephen Stills and Bonnie Raitt. I love experimenting with different sounds and incorporating unique effects into my music.

I have collaborated with various artists including singers, songwriters, and other musicians. Pictured with me is my dear friend Spooner Oldham who paved the way for the Muscle Shoals sound, and who I had the honor to write with. I believe that collaboration is key to creating great music and love working with other talented individuals.

My goal is to create music that speaks to people. I believe that music has the power to bring people together and heal the world. I am constantly striving to create new sounds and push the boundaries of what is possible with music.
